Sydney Davis

A southerner by birth and UNC Chapel Hill graduate, Sydney is the Executive Director of Girls on the Run NJ East where she founded the council in the fall of 2000. With a Masters in Counseling and a strong teaching / coaching / social service background, Sydney also works part time as a school counselor at a K-8 school. Most recently, Sydney is launching her new frontier as a life coach – specifically helping women navigate difficult transitions in their life with support and a “blow torch” theory that helps them clarify their most authentic life and get busy living it. She has run the NYC marathon once and since her knees still hurt 11 years later, she sticks to trail runs, yoga, swimming, spinning and now Zumba. Girls on the Run is the marriage of all Sydney loves – staying physical, empowering girls, setting goals, building a strong community, and working towards positive, social change.
Anne Klein

Anne brings a background in physical education, coaching and running to her position as Volunteer Coordinator of Girls on the Run NJ East. A native of Wisconsin, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1991. She then married and moved to NYC in 1994. Embracing the concept of educating the “whole child”, she began teaching Physical Education and Health at Brooklyn Friends School. In addition to her teaching duties, Anne also coached volleyball, softball, and varsity boys and girls basketball.
After relocating to NJ, she and husband Roger began the adventure of parenthood, raising 3 beautiful daughters. Anne launched a site and began coaching GOTR in 2006 when her oldest daughter, Elle, was in 3rd grade at Clinton School in Maplewood. Now in Princeton, Anne hopes to continue to grow the program throughout Mercer county and beyond.
In addition to running, Anne also enjoys weight training, adventure racing, rock-climbing and hiking. Her hope is that one day she will complete a marathon with each of her daughters.
Kristina Kurdyla
A native of Florham Park, Kristina returned the area last summer after 7 years of studying and travelling all over the US and abroad. She graduated with a double major in Sociology and Conflict Analysis & Resolution from George Mason University and currently is a practicing Certified Holistic Health Coach and nutritional counselor. She’s coached hundreds of children and adults to live and maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. An avid distance runner, hiker, dancer- a girl (literally) on the run, she believes the building blocks for healthy living begins with proper nutrition and supplementation.
To compliment her career, Kristina searched for an organization that would be the melting pot of everything she loves about life, helping others reach their goals, and encouraging strong will, empowerment and healthy living. She brings her passion for health, fitness & wellness to Girls on the Run. As former coach for GOTR Summit, Kristina is excited to take on the responsibility as Site Coordinator. The SUPERSTAR energy from all the girls and beautiful coaches had such a positive impact; she knew this was where she needed to be.
